Staff pattern in department of Anaesthesiology


Special surgical procedures take renal transplant & scoliosis correction are being done
About 15 – 20 elective cases are being operated per day
In addition anaesthesia service are being provided for Cardiac Cath lab procedures
Pain & palliative care services are provided on an OPD basis once a week
Pre anaesthesia check up facility are available daily form 10.30am onwards
Academic
The department has taken resuscitation classes for undergraduate, house surgeons. The department has taken compression only life support classes for students in school (Carmel school) in the month of October 2018.

- Comparison of analysis efficiency of 100mg & 200mg intrathecal Morphin for TKR –
Dr. Deepa & Dr. Nanna - Assessment of analgesic efficiency of 50mg intrathecal Morphine for Caesarean
Section – Dr. Deepa & Dr. Nanna - Incidence of Predictors of atrial fibrillation in CABG surgery patient – Dr. Veena & Dr. Vimal
There are academic classes from 2-4pm on Monday & Thursday mortality meeting are conducted once a month

Intake of postgraduate students in the department of anaesthesiology at TDMC per year
MD – 2 seats
DA – 2 seats
The department is conducting DOTAT (Diploma in operation theatre & anaesthesia technique) course. The number of students admitted to this course is 10. Classes are being taken for House surgeons posted in the department.
Infrastructure Facilities
There are about 8 functional elective operation tables per day. There are 2 emergency O.T functioning 24hrs x 7days. One for emergency trauma and other for Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
